Opening Early 2027 · Norton Commons
Investing in thoughtful, personalized psychiatric care
Clarity is being built around quality rather than volume — which is what makes longer appointments and a smaller patient panel possible.
Choosing a psychiatric provider is an investment in your health, your relationships, your work, your family, and your overall quality of life.
By maintaining a smaller patient panel and offering longer appointments, Clarity will be able to provide the time, attention, and individualized care that many patients feel is missing from today's healthcare experience.
Planned Fees
Appointments
The initial appointment will be a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation designed to understand the complete picture, not just a list of symptoms. Follow-up appointments will allow time to monitor progress, review medications, discuss side effects or concerns, and adjust the treatment plan as needed.
| Service | Typical length | Fee |
|---|---|---|
| Initial Psychiatric Evaluation | 60–90 minutes | $400 |
| Follow-Up Medication Management | 20–30 minutes | $175 |
Fees are those planned for opening and may change before the practice opens in early 2027.
Additional Services
Requests that take time outside an appointment
| Service | Fee |
|---|---|
| Emotional Support Animal (ESA) letter | $25 |
| FMLA, disability, school, or workplace forms | From $25 |
| In-office urine drug screening | $25 |
| Extensive record review or administrative requests | Varies with complexity |
ESA letters and forms will be considered only where clinically appropriate for established patients. Completion cannot be guaranteed, and payment of a fee does not guarantee that a letter will be provided.
Why Private Pay
Independent by design
Clarity will be an independent private-pay practice and will not participate with commercial insurance plans.
This model is a deliberate choice, because it allows for:
- More time with each patient
- A smaller patient panel
- Fewer administrative barriers
- A focus on individualized care rather than insurance requirements
- Treatment decisions based on clinical judgment, not insurance limitations
Insurance & Reimbursement
Superbills, HSA and FSA
Patients with commercial insurance will be able to request a superbill to submit for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Reimbursement depends on the individual plan and cannot be guaranteed.
Health Savings Accounts and Flexible Spending Accounts will be accepted where permitted by the individual plan. Patients are responsible for confirming whether a service qualifies and what documentation their plan administrator requires.
Fees will be due at the time of the visit, and major credit cards will be accepted alongside HSA and FSA cards where applicable.
Medicaid & Medicare
An important note before you inquire
Clarity will not be able to see patients enrolled in Kentucky Medicaid. Kentucky Medicaid regulations generally do not allow beneficiaries to privately pay for psychiatric services that may otherwise be covered by Medicaid.
Clarity will also not bill or participate with Medicare. Because the rules around privately paying for covered services are complex, prospective patients with Medicare should get in touch before the practice opens so their situation can be reviewed.
If you have questions about your coverage or eligibility, those are worth raising early rather than late.
Cancellation Policy
Because appointment times will be reserved for one person
Appointments canceled with less than 24 business hours' notice may be subject to a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the scheduled appointment fee.
Patients arriving more than 15 minutes late without prior notice may be asked to reschedule and may incur the same fee.
Because appointment times will be reserved exclusively for each patient, advance notice is genuinely appreciated whenever it is possible.
