Opening Early 2027 · Norton Commons
Psychiatric evaluation and medication management
For children, adolescents and adults ages 6 to 65, throughout Kentucky.
What Clarity Will Treat
Common outpatient psychiatric concerns
Clarity will commonly evaluate and treat ADHD, anxiety disorders, depression, PTSD, PMDD, binge eating disorder, mood concerns, stress, burnout, sleep-related concerns, and related outpatient psychiatric conditions.
The practice will focus on psychiatric evaluation and medication management and will not provide ongoing psychotherapy. Therapy is often an important part of treatment, and referrals or collaboration with an outside therapist may be recommended.
Your Initial Evaluation
Sixty to ninety minutes, unhurried
All initial psychiatric evaluations will be scheduled for approximately 60 to 90 minutes. The exact length will depend on the patient's age, history, symptoms, and clinical complexity.
The conversation will cover current concerns, psychiatric and medical history, previous treatment experiences, family history, sleep, lifestyle, school or work functioning, relationships, stressors, and goals for care. For children and adolescents, the evaluation may include time with the parent or guardian, the patient, or both, depending on age and clinical needs.
A first appointment will not guarantee a particular diagnosis or prescription. Where appropriate, diagnostic impressions will be discussed and a treatment plan built together. Recommendations may include medication, therapy, laboratory testing, lifestyle changes, school or workplace support, or referral for additional evaluation.
Follow-Up Care
Twenty to thirty minutes, as often as care requires
Follow-up medication-management appointments will typically run 20 to 30 minutes. These visits allow time to review progress, medication effectiveness, side effects, safety, functioning, and any new concerns.
Frequency will depend on age, diagnosis, medication, symptom severity, stability, and treatment goals. Visits may be more frequent when starting or changing a medication, and certain controlled medications will require regular visits and periodic in-person monitoring.
In Person & Telehealth
Both, where clinically appropriate
Clarity will offer in-person care in Norton Commons, and telehealth for patients physically located in Kentucky where clinically appropriate.
Some evaluations, medications, age groups, and treatment plans will require periodic in-office appointments. Telehealth availability will be determined by clinical judgment and applicable prescribing requirements, so it will not be guaranteed for every visit.
Testing & Monitoring
Safe prescribing has requirements
Depending on the medication or clinical concern, laboratory testing, vital-sign monitoring, urine drug screening, or coordination with a primary-care provider may be recommended or required.
Controlled medications will be prescribed only where clinically appropriate, and may involve in-person visits, vital signs, urine drug screening, prescription-monitoring review, treatment agreements, pill counts, laboratory testing, or coordination with other professionals.
With appropriate authorization, Clarity may collaborate with therapists, primary-care providers, pediatricians, schools, or other healthcare professionals where coordination supports safe and effective treatment.
Is Clarity Right for You?
Clarity will likely be a good fit if you are seeking
- A comprehensive psychiatric evaluation rather than a brief prescription visit
- Thoughtful outpatient medication management
- Longer appointments and a smaller-practice experience
- Collaborative treatment decisions and clear education
- Care for ADHD, anxiety, depression, PTSD, PMDD, binge eating disorder, stress or burnout
- Practical lifestyle recommendations alongside medication where appropriate
- A calm, welcoming, private-pay practice
- Care for a child, adolescent, college student, professional, parent, or adult aged 6 to 65
When Another Setting Is Better
Clarity will not be the right fit if you need
Being clear about this in advance is a kindness, not a rejection. Every inquiry will be reviewed to determine whether the practice is clinically and operationally able to meet a prospective patient's needs, and where it is not, the aim will be to point toward a more appropriate level of care.
- Emergency or immediate crisis intervention
- Inpatient, residential, partial-hospitalization, or intensive outpatient treatment
- Detoxification or primary treatment for active or complex substance-use disorders
- Ongoing psychotherapy as your primary service
- Court-ordered treatment, custody evaluations, forensic evaluations, or court testimony
- Complex eating-disorder treatment requiring a multidisciplinary specialty team
- Frequent urgent medication changes or after-hours clinical access
- A level of monitoring that cannot safely be provided in a routine outpatient setting
When Clarity Opens
How becoming a patient will work
When the practice opens in early 2027, establishing care will follow a clear sequence. It is described here so prospective patients know what to expect — none of these steps are open yet.
Step 1: Submit a request
A secure inquiry form covering primary concerns, treatment history, current medications, insurance status, and what you hope to gain from care.
Step 2: Practice review
Each inquiry will be reviewed to determine whether Clarity appears to be an appropriate outpatient fit. Additional information or records may be requested.
Step 3: Scheduling
If the practice appears able to meet your needs, the office will be in touch about availability, fees, and next steps.
Step 4: Complete your forms
Electronic forms will be completed in advance, covering medical and psychiatric history, current medications, allergies, prior treatment, and pharmacy.
Step 5: Your first evaluation
Approximately 60–90 minutes reviewing your history, current concerns, goals, and treatment options together.
